Fleetsit
A guided tour of the yard board

Oneboardforthewholeyard,andeverythingitputsinfrontofyouthemomentgearmoves.

This is the whole tour. What Fleetsit flags as idle and earning nothing, the heads-up before a busy category runs short, the returns landing this week ready to rebook — and the six things it does on its own once your fleet is on the board.

Idle — could be earningOut on rentDue backIn service

Most of what a yard loses, it loses quietly — a lift back three days that nobody rebooked, a category sold out by Thursday that nobody saw coming, a machine idle across town while the counter says “all out.” Fleetsit’s whole job is to put those three where you’ll actually see them.

What it puts in front of you

Three views a whiteboard
can’t give you

Every one answers a question a busy counter never has the time to add up — and each is a real screen, not a promise.

01 · The idle finder

What’s parked out back, counted in dollars

Every machine sitting in the yard, totalled by what it would earn on rent. The idle money stops being a hunch and becomes a number you can act on before end of day.

  • A number, not a hunch. Each idle machine totalled by its day rate, so the cost of it sitting is right there.
  • Sorted by what it’s worth. The big-ticket idle rises to the top — the excavator out back, not the plate tamper.
  • See it, rent it out. The unit that was gathering dust in the back row goes back out on a job.

On one screen

The gear you walk past every morning, finally counted

You already know roughly what’s out and what’s in. Fleetsit turns “roughly” into an exact board — every asset, its state right now, and what it’s costing you when it isn’t moving. No walking the lot with a clipboard to find out.

Yard · heads-up

Scissor lifts almost gone

Out on rent

11 / 12

All spoken for by Thursday. Hold one back for the walk-in, or call ahead with options.

02 · The heads-up

You hear it before the category’s gone

When a class of gear is about to rent out, Fleetsit says so while there’s still time to do something about it — not after a customer’s already been turned away.

  • A warning, not a post-mortem. You get it while there’s a machine left to hold, not on the month-end report.
  • Every scissor lift spoken for by Thursday. So you know before you promise the walk-in one.
  • Hold one back, or call ahead. Offer a real option instead of “sorry, all out” — and keep the job.

03 · The returns list

What’s landing back, ready to go straight out

The gear due back this week, laid out by day, with what’s already rebooked and what still needs a customer. Turn it around before it cools off in the back row.

  • This week, by day. Everything coming back, so you plan the rebook before it hits the yard.
  • Booked vs. open at a glance. Nine already spoken for, three still needing a home — and which three.
  • Straight back out. A returned machine goes on the next job instead of parking for a fortnight.

The whole loop

Six steps, from a wall
of clipboards to one board

You set it up once. After that, five of the six happen on their own — the only thing you do is glance at the board and see what's earning, what's idle, and what's coming back.

  1. 01

Put your fleet on the board

Every machine you rent, with what it is and where it stands right now — out, idle, due back, or in for service. Import your list once; after that it’s just how the yard runs.

  2. 02

    Fleetsit watches what’s idle

It quietly totals the gear sitting in the yard that could be earning — by category, by value — so the money parked out back stops being invisible.

  3. 03

It warns before you run short

When a category is about to rent out — every scissor lift spoken for by Thursday — you hear it in time to hold one back or call the customer with options.

  4. 04

It tells you what’s coming back

The returns landing this week, ready to go straight back out. Rebook them before they hit the yard instead of letting them cool off in the back row.

  5. 05

    Nothing quietly goes overdue

Late returns and no-shows surface the morning they happen — with the customer attached — instead of turning up on a month-end reconciliation.

  6. 06

Friday, it hands you the week

One screen: utilisation by category, what each class earned, and what just sat. No spreadsheet, no walking the yard to guess.

Where the yard sits today

Sixty-one out of a hundred. The rest is fleet you already own, earning nothing.

Most yards sit in the high fifties to low sixties on utilisation. Every point under a hundred is a machine that’s paid for, parked, and quiet — and the board is what turns those points back into rentals.
